The sit at home order by the Independent People of Biafra, IPOB, and MASSOB seems to effective in Awka and environs as most busy places looks deserted while there were skeletal services in some motor parks.
A tour of some parts of Awka by our correspondent Ngozi Obileri was met with low turn out of human and vehicular movement along the express road, Ziks avenue and Eke Awka axis.
At Eke Awka, all shops were under lock and key while some traders were seen in clusters jisting .
The Ekwulobia urban mass transit bus ,at UNIZIK temporary site was a ghost of itself as no vehicle or the park officials were seen.
However, the TRACAS park also at UNIZIK temporary site recorded skeletal services but no passenger was on board the behind end route Ekwulobia and Owerri.
Few passengers end route Onitsha as no vehicle was loading Onitsha except those loading Awkuzu/Igbariam.
Speaking to Newsmen, a passenger Mr Jude Okolo said he had waited for over fifty minutes to board a bus to Onitsha but to no avail.
On why he chose to travel to Onitsha today, Mr Okolo said he received a call that his son was ill and decided to go take care of him as his family based in Onitsha.
Meanwhile, the Adam and Eve park Amawbia was also deserted.
