Fidelity Youth Empwerment Academy, YEA 3 ends in Oko Anambra state.

The free five day Enterprise and Skill acquisition programme, Fidelity Youth Empowerment Academy (YEA 3) has ended in Oko, Orumba North local government area of Anambra state, with over fifty youths empowered in various areas of entrepreneurship.

Declaring the Closing Ceremony open, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Professor Godwin Onu represented by the Deputy Rector, Academic, Mrs. Gladys Anene expressed delight over the management exercerse which he said had helped to improve the skills of the particited students.

The Anambra state Commissioner for Youths, Entrepreneurship and Sports Development, Mrs Uju Nwogu represented by the Ministry's Chief Youth Development Officer, Mrs. Chitoo Osili while describing youths as veritable tools for societal change, reinstated government's ever readiness to support meaningful youth oriented programmes in the stated.

In a speech, a guest speaker and the Chairman of BEN Television, London, Mr. Alistair Soyode who stressed the qualities of a successful Entrepreneur, advised youths to nurse enviable dreams irrespective academic status, so as to achieve greatness in life.

Earlier in a remark, a Co-organiser and Founder Gazelle Academy, Mrs. Muna Onuzo applauded the graduands for staying committed to learning charging them to always showcase practicality in their various fields of endeavour.

Also, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank PLC, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo represented by the Regional Bank Head, for Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states Mr. Leonard Ezeugwu lauded the prominence of the YEA 3 project and disclosed the bank's resolution to ensure continuity on the exercise.

The event which attracted Government Functionaries, Academicians from different institutions and Media Executives from across the globe also featured project exhibitions ranging from fashion and designing, make-ups, cocktail among others, by the graduands even as the best of them who were honoured with various gift items expressed their profound gratitude.

Professors Not TRCN Certified To Quit Teaching Profession

Raymond Ozoji, Awka reports The Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria  ( TRCN)  says that professors not registered with the council may quit teaching profession as all teachers in the country are mandated to register with the body in order to regulate the teaching profession in Nigeria  . Presenting an update on TRCN at a meeting of stakeholders in the teaching sector in Awka , state secretary of the Nigeria Union of Teachers  ( NUT )  Anambra state wing comrade Livinus Eta Omini stated that TRCN was the statutory body for the regulation of the teaching profession in the country .
