World Igbo Congress Condemns Raid on Ekweremadu's Home ....Calls for Igbo Unity By Abuchi Onwumelu of Fides Newspaper The World Igbo Congress (WIC) has condemned in strong terms the recent attack on the guest house of the Deputy Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Ike Ekweremadu by security operatives, describing it as a calculated attack on the people of South East Geopolitical Zone. In a communiqué issued at the end of their First Leadership Summit in Nigeria held at Ascort Resort Hotel, New Haven, Enugu and signed by the chairman of WIC, Engr. Joe Nze Eto and made available to newsmen in Awka, the summit accused Buhari's led Federal Government of Nigeria of bias, despotic tendencies and insensitivity.
