APC Southeast is stage-ready for the mainstream politics

The Party urges its interested candidates to abide by the Resolutions of the Planning and Strategy Committee.
The Executive Members of the All Progressives Congress

The All Progressives Congress(APC) in Southeast says it is fully armed and ready to participate in the mainstream politics with the hope of using the November 2017 Gubernatorial Election as the starting point.

In a Communigue released from it's meeting held in Alor, Idemili South local government area last Tuesday and signed by its Zonal Vice Chairman Mr. Emma Eneukwu, the political body maintains that it will follow due process in electing a governorship candidate for the forthcoming election in the state as enshrined in the party's constitution.

The Communiqué also discloses that the meeting had inaugurated an Anambra State Gubernatorial Election planning and strategy committee whose mandate is to monitor political environment in Anambra state as regards to the November 18 guber poll.

According to the zonal Vice Chairman, Mr. Eneukwu, the Committee has as its Chairman the Former Governor old Anambra state, Chief Jim Nwobodo, a Former Governor of Abia state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu as its Vice Chairman while Senators Emma Agboti and Ifeanyi Araraume as Secretary and member respectively, among other members.

Narrating the journey so far on the court ordered Anambra Central Senatorial election, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige explained that there may be no election in the zone since the APC had appealed for a review of the Inec and Federal High court's positions on the said election.

It would be recalled that while the Inec disqualified the APC and PDP from participating in the re-run election, the Federal High court sitting in Abuja had passed a judgement allowing the PDP to field a new candidate for the election thereby disqualifying the APC from putting another candidate in place of Senator Ngige, this according to the Minister poses a serious setback against the ordered election as his party, the APC has appealed to redeem its mandate.

Charles Odunukwe, a potential Leader.

O bu onye si n’igbo enwenyi mmadu? What do we really mean when we say one is a Philanthropist?   Charles Odunukwe, Foundation and Chairman Chardon Foundation and the Vice President-General Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Worldwide. These outlined questions form the basis of the following article that puts you on the know of a less perceived strong smell of a genius who has crossed and dotted his Ts and Is respectively in the events of human development and economic empowerment. One can attest to the fact that one of the factors that propagate a person with goodwill is Benevolence. Which in terms of human relation, charitable kindness, altruistic gifts, little wonder the saying that it does not matter how long one lives on earth rather what matters is the achievement he or she had instituted before going the way of all flesh and mortals. In this context, one person that keeps striking my thoughts is the man whose name will continue to ring a resounding bell in ears within...

The quest for Local Government Autonomy today recorded a boost as an Anambra Court presided over by the Chief Judge of Peter Peter Umeadi orders the Anambra State independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) to conduct election for only candidates already nominated for the election before the process was stopped before August 15, 2017. In a landmark judgment yesterday, in Court 1 of Anambra State High Court, Hon Justice Umeadi, while delivering judgment in suit No A/182/2016 brought by All Progressives Congress (APC) & 21 others vs Anambra State independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) & 28 others, held that the appointment and reappointment of Caretaker Committees in the 21 LGs of Anambra State is illegal. The Chief Judge also ordered that in view of his findings of fact that only APC nominated candidates for the 2015 Anambra State Local Government Elections, and all other parties failed to do so, ANSIEC should conduct give a notice of election  and conduct election ...
