Breaking News=Governor Fayose declares Ekiti part of Biafra.

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has declared Ekiti as part of Biafra. Although unconstitutional, the Ekiti state governor and member of the Opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, aligned his state with the Biafran states. Fayose stated this when he spoke to newsmen, during the bail hearing of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, at the Federal High Court that sat in Abuja on Tuesday. "Ekiti State is now part of Biafra,” he declared. This is the first time Fayose is openly showing support for the movement, which is agitating for a breakaway of the South-East from Nigeria. Kanu has been granted bail on health grounds .

Finally Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is granted bail

                                                                                       Freedom at last A Federal High court sitting in Abuja has granted bail to the director of the Indigenious People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu. The trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako granted Kanu bail on health ground today April 25th. As part of his bail conditions, Kanu is expected to provide three sureties with N100 million each. Mazi Kanu and the fearless Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose The sureties must include a serving senator, a jewish religious leader and a highly respected person that must own a land property anywhere in Abuja. Justice Binta also ordered that Kanu must not grant any press interview or organize any rally pending the outcome of his trial. According to Justice Nyako, Kanu would be released to go home after fulfilling his bail conditions. Kanu was arrested in October 2015 for treasonable offences.

Unbelievable: Nigerian Journalist Robs 4 Banks In New York.

SAN FRANCISCO, A Nigerian, Abdullahi Shuaibu, has been arrested by the New York Police Department (NYPD) for allegedly robbing four Manhattan banks during his lunch hour. According to New York Post, Shuaibu 53, a journalist and former staff of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) was picked up by police  on Monday  and charged with robbery and attempted robbery for the crimes committed during his two-month spree. Shuaibu was an employee of the News Agency of Nigeria and served as its UN correspondent between 2006 and 2009. The agency, however, terminated his appointment in April 2013 following his refusal to resume work in Nigeria at the expiration of duty tour and extended period which he requested to enable him complete an academic programme. Governor Obiano appreciates Pop Stars of the 70s.

Awka the Anambra state Capital stood still on the night of the Easter Day as the Southeastern Pop Artists of 1970s were recognised by Governor Willie Obiano. Price of commodities seems to be stable even as there was easy flow of traffic around town. As Christians the world over observe the Easter Celebrations, Delight News has taken a short trip round the streets and markets around the neighborhood to witness the effect of the Season on the citizenry. People were seen trooping in and out of Afor Market of Nnobi Community in Idemili South local government area of Anambra state, where traders entertain costumers who have come to shop for their respective families. Our Correspondents observed that joy and celebrations filled the air as individuals express profound gratitude to God for the grace of yet another Easter ceremony.

At least seven people have died while another seven hospitalized out of 150 boat passengers from Ngaski Local Govt Area of Kebbi State drown in the River Niger.

All the passengers on board went missing At least seven people have been confirmed dead and seven hospitalized when a boat carrying 150 passengers from Ngaski Local Govt Area of Kebbi State who were returning from Malali Market hit a branch of tree and capsized along River Niger. Confirming the incident, the Coordinator of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara State, Alhaji Sulaiman Muhammad said that efforts were on going between fishermen and the Nigerian Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) to rescue the missing passengers. "As soon as we got hint of the mishap, we put a call to NIWA to help rescue the missing passengers". All the people on board were missing, but as rescue and search continue wide and deep of the river intensified, 14 people have been discovered; seven died and seven haven taking to Ngaski Hospital." he said.

Breaking: Buhari absent at FEC meeting as Osinbajo presides

Buhari absent at FEC meeting surprises FEC members as Osibanjo presides. Reports reaching Delight News say that President Muhammadu Buhari is absent at the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council, FEC holding at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Explosions halts Dortmund game against Monaco Tuesday night.

Explosions have happened shattering windows and injuring a player on the Borussia Dortmund team bus Tuesday  as the German football squad was en route to its home Champions League match. Police say the explosions were part of a targeted attack. Investigators found near the scene a handwritten letter that claimed responsibility for the attack. Spanish defender Marc Bartra, 26, suffered injuries to an arm and hand, the team said.  Bartra, who has played 29 games in all competitions for Dortmund this season, was treated at the scene and hospitalized. The team later said Bartra was in surgery for a broken radius -- a bone in the forearm -- and for "bits of debris lodged in his hand." He will not play Wednesday. "We hope that he will make a speedy recovery," Dortmund captain Marcel Schmelzer said on the team website. FRSC Rivers state commander cuts off hair extensions of female members The Rivers State Sector Commander, Mr. Andrew A Kumapayi of the  Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has demonstrated the act of discipline in Service as he shared the pictures where he was  cutting off the hair extension of two female members during the command's parade. According to reports their hair was cut off because it contravened some work place regulations.
