For The First Time In History, The Fearless Fayose Breaks Down In Tears, Suffers Major Political Setback
The embattled Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, was close to tears, on Tuesday, as over 200 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, members, led by a suspended member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan, decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
According to available report, this is the first time that Fayose was alleged to be politically humbled, due to the fact that the next Gubernatorial election in the State is at the corner.
Post-Nigeria, gathered that this is also the first time that the PDP is losing members in State, since Fayose returned to power in October, 2014.
Recall, that Aribisogan, who represents Ikole Constituency 1, in the Assembly, who led the defectors, was caught holding meeting with a Senator representing Ogun East, in the National Assembly, Buruji Kashamu, and others perceived to be “political enemies” of Fayose.
Speaking during his defection at Ward 7 in Ikole Local Government Area, Aribisogan said his action was hinged on the division in the State chapter of the PDP, which according to him, made his stay in the party “extremely difficult.”
Aribisogan was received by the State APC Executive Council, led by the Deputy Chairman, Mrs. Kemisola Olaleye.
