The court of Appeal, Abuja division, yesterday, fixed tomorrow for
the ruling in the Ondo Peoples Democratic Party [PDP]governorship crisis in the
state.
A panel of three Judges led by Salauwa, fixed the date after
taking final arguements by counsels in the matter.
The Senator Ali Modu Sherif- led faction of the party had been in
a leadership tussle with the Senator Ahmed Markarfi led caretaker committee.
Eyitayo Jegede [SAN] emerged as the governorship candidate of the party
from the Markarfi faction while Jimoh Ibrahim emerged from the Ali Modu Sherif
faction.
The party had sent Jegede's name to the Independent National
Electoral Commission [INEC] prompting the Sherif faction to approach the
federal high court sitting in Abuja, challenging the submission of Jegede's
name to the commission.
