EKEUKWU RELOCATION: Honourable Osuji blames Owerri Municipal Constituents for not embracing negotiations before the demolition.

The Imo State House of Assembly Majority Leader and Member Representing Owerri Municipal, Chief Lugard Osuji has stated that his Constituents, the people of Owerri Nchi Ise did not take advantage of negotiations that arose prior to the demolition cum relocation of Ekeukwu Market in Owerri, Imo State capital.

Chief Osuji whose position was for the Market to be remodeled to a better and state-of-the-art market facility, made this assertion in a media chart with Journalists in owerri, maintaining that ever since her intentions were made known in 2016 over the relocation of the market, the Government was ready and opened for negotiations with the people of Owerri on the Ekeukwu Market Relocation.

Honourable Osuji recounted various occasions he held meetings with the five autonomous communities in the Constituency and also the Market Unions and their Leadership on the need to engage Okorocha-led Administration on fruitful negotiation, but expressesd surprise at the response he received mostly from his own people of Owerri Municipal.

The Lawmaker who revealed the government's readiness to negotiations with regards to what becomes of the Site, now that the Ekeukwu Market Owerri has been relocated, appluaded Governor Rochas Okorocha for running an all inclusive government even as he enjoin his Constituents to uphold their support for the present administration.
